How to Make Your Own TRX Suspension Trainer

The Tools you will need:

Three 8'-12' Lashing Straps (Make sure the lashing straps are able to support your weight, look at the break strength of the straps on the packaging)

Carabiner: (Again same with the carabiner, Make sure it is able to support your weight)

Rope

1 1/2"- 2" in diameter PVC pipe

The First Step is to thread the lashing strap through the cam buckle, or buckle.

Now do the same with the second lashing strap.

Take one of the ends of the lashing straps and get your PVC pipe, (your going to need to cut it to a suitable size before hand, aproximately 5" should be good, or if you have bigger hands make it a bit longer) thread the end of the lashing strap into the PVC pipe and then tie a bowline knot. IF you tied it correctly you should be able to pull the handle and the knot should get tighter as you pull on it. If you are able to move the knot up and down the strap, you need to retie the knot the correct way so it won't move up or down the strap and is fixed in one place. Here is a diagram to tie a bowline knot.

Now do the same with the rope, cut it to a suitable size for you to be able to put your feet in it. This is used for exercises that require you to use suspend your feed and legs. Thread it though the PVC pipe and tie a bowline knot.

Repeat the same proccess with the other strap.

Next Take the Carabiner and hook the two loops from both lashing straps and lock them in place.

Take the Third Lashing Strap and thread it through the carabiner and the cam buckle, or buckle. (The third lashing strap will be used to anchor the trainer to a tree, pull up bar, basketball hoop, etc..)

When that's done your finished! Good Job! Now let's start working out!

An added bonus: To Make your Suspension Trainer portable so you can "take it anywhere" easily, purchase a Travel Kit or Bag. So, when you want to take this to the park, just pop it in the bag and your good to go! Here is how the finish product should look like.
